Tranny question

Hey, I'm new to the forum. Recently had the transmission go out on my truck. I found a replacement within pickup distance for a resonable price.

I have a 1990 F-350 with the E4OD. The replacement is an E4OD from behind a non turbo 7.3. The only thing is that it is out of a van not a truck. Also, it is a 1993. I have not taken measurments yet.

Has anyone had experience with this? Is this a direct bolt on type of job.?
Does it need modification to fit, or is it not really a feasible project.

van/truck makes no difference.
2wd/4wd is a huge difference.
as long as they are the same and it's older than a '96 it's a plug n' play.
