tranny problems on a 94,47rh

i get stuck in 2nd gear with a load on going up hills and my trans temp goes way up (even pegged it) no matter what i do i cant get out of 2nd gear
please help thanks in advance

Have you done any kind of power adders to the truck, such as slid the fuel plate or anything?

i know when i bought the truck it had a 250hp upgrade
