Towing speed with 5th wheel?

LuLuBelle can pull a fully loaded 24" gooseneck livestock trailer 65-70 mph all day long in 5 th gear;with a 4.10 diff. Out here in the flat deserts of west Texas, its not much of a chore for the old girl. I try to keep it at 65 but this oilfield traffic is horrendous. 18 wheelers going past you at 80 mpn+, is enough to discourage you from driving anywhere.

West Texas is, uh… different. Especially the whole passing thing, of people effectively driving on the shoulder or even into the ditch to let the faster vehicle behind them pass… yeah that’s a whole different scenario if you ask me.

I guess that’s not all of West Texas, and that’s been awhile ago. But I know it at least used to be a thing.
