Fix one thing another pops up. Well, after my serpentine belt problem which I posted yesterday (Thanks for the feedback) I realized that when the belt came of it broke off the tab on the harmonic balancer which allows me to put the probe for IP timing meter. Mind you I just bought a "lumi" timing meter last week and received a couple of days ago and did not have a chance to use it! When it rains it pours. I mean literally because I am in GA and we've been getting it in buckets for the past week! Don't know how to insert a picture. I wanted to know if anyone has repaired this successfully without having to actually replace the timing cover.

That cover requires removel of the entire front of the motor. You don't need to remove the injection pump gear cover but if you do its lots easier to do the job. Try cleaning it up with brake clean and glueing it back on with JB Weld. This doesn't take much abuse and you only use it for the timing...
