Ok some have contacted me saying they felt I had stopped this program of renting out my timing meters. I have not stopped doing the program. I don't know where this is growing from either. Yes, I have had some growing pains but thats in any new startup business. The biggest issue at this time is the length of time some are sitting on these meters. For the most part many of you are really doing a great job of getting the jobs done and returning the meters. I didn't make a point of telling members they had a certain amount of time to use these meters. That is going to happen when I feel there is a reasonable time limit thats been exceded. Then I need to decide what the cost is to be. The idea of charging more for keeping the meters longer than an agreement really bothers me but its something I ned to do so everyone gets a meter in a timely manner. Thanks again for all the support. I'm doing this because its a desired program. We all know there isn't anyone out there doing this kind of work for us and thats a real shame. This is a group of people helping others to keep these easy to repair rigs on the roads....:D

Simple ettiquete. I was taught not to borrow another mechanics tool more than a couple of times, if you need it often get your own. When you do borrow, wait until its time to use it, and as quickly as possible return it, clean. If you damage it you buy the lender a new one.
I have to say I appreciated the opportunity to have gone visiting and timed my truck. THANK YOU.
My Honda ST Owners group is a pretty tight group and has put together a system of tools specific to the bikes and lends them out free, with a big deposit. Things like fork tools and valve shim sets cost a lot but you only need them a few times. Great boon to those of us who don't pay mechanics.
I am not suggesting that it is in any way wrong to rent out your own tools. Most of us buy them to earn money.
