Jred, it tows o.k. but not great. I bounces alot on rough roads. It stays home most of the time. Thats one of the reasons for the truck crane, so I dont have to drag the splitter out to the "cutting site" I can throw the big chunks up in the truck with the crane, then bring 'em home to the splitter. Makes things alot simpler.
I have no idea if my splitter trailers squirrely, I cant hardley feel it bounce around, but I could hear it. My truck is so heavy that trailer movement doesnt translate thru the truck very much.

On my way to the woods today, I went thru the local farmers co-op to weigh my truck, just out of curiosity. She came in at a healthy 7,300 pounds! Thats with only an 1/8 tank full, no weight on the bed.

I'm not sure what a stock crewcab would normally weigh, mine has a little bit of extra metal on it.:D

That's about what mine weighs, but I don't have a stock bed either.

My aluminum bed must lighten things up more than I thought. I figured with all my extra steel parts welded on my truck, that it would be on the heavy side.
