And yes old guy hauled a 5er once a year then left it in a barn.
It adds up to around 1000 miles a year when I got it!

My project truck has only 92k new injectors 5inch intake straight pipe exsaust new clutch glowplugs new doors rims and tires. I used rhino liner for the whole truck I need ideas for cheap power

I need ideas for cheap power

the idi is cheap power......just not a whole lot of it.:rotflmao

nah seriously,sourcing a used turbo kit is by far your best bang for your buck.a fresh ip,set of injectors and a timing check is always a good place to start.welcome to the idi club and good luck!

Ya my turbo truck (originally NA) with stock fuel and the waste-gate unhooked (sees 8-10psi) runs pretty good. It will pull a car well and does way better then a 460, though 460s have more power then even the turbo idi trucks in the ball park of my own. Just expect single digit mpg and at best maybe 12-13 on the highway.

pulled my fathers 85 300sd, and my buddies 450 horse dmax is in the pic as well. After riding in that...I need 400 horse. grossing 14-15k in this pic

Heres how mine looked when I first saw her and picked her up. Grown in, hood been up like that for years, junk all in the box, junk inside, dirty as hell inside and out, in the back forty next to an '80s ford van with no front clip. To make it worse, It was grown in with poisoning weeds......
