On the Port Jefferson ferry. I bought that S10 for a few hundred, for an engine donor.

Yea! I have a thread called [ the truck overhaul of my 85 ford] and have lots of pics and info on produces I used

I love the gauge cluster and the Barry Grant wheel. The brick dash in the bull nose truck really threw me off but I like it. I always liked the brick dash the best of the three. I'm sure that was challenging. Gorgeous truck.

I'm a little unconventional when it comes to my vehicles, love my old trucks and my three wheelers. Trust these old beauties more than this new fly by wire crap

got a new accessory for my truck, a true "barn find" LOL

guy bought a chevy new in 86 that came with it on it, it was sitting on the floor of his barn under a tarp since he pulled it off in '87
4 screw holes from holding it down, the original rubber bed seal and even the plastic slip-on window cranks and screening :D

New to the list.

Hello all,
This is my first post on this section of the Oilburners.net. I had been looking for a ramp truck to haul my cars to various shows but they are somewhat rare around here for some reason. After trying to by a early 90s Dodge that went up in price every time I talked to the owner I ran across a 1990 Ford Super Duty with the 7.3 and a standard transmission. True mileage unknown for reason that would soon show up. Engine ran strong, started up every time and didn't smoke in any way. There was some intermittent noise from the transmission. I bought the rig for what a used ramp bed would cost and I knew it would be a project to get it up to my road worthy specs.

This is what I have done so far. Complete rebuild on trans (was running 90W gear oil), complete rebuild of parking brake (was dry with shattered bearings). New smf, clutch, pp, etc. Four new u-joints and two carrier bearings. Will look into the differential next. I have also put in new seats, carpet and headliner along with work on the bed and ramps.

I'm sure I will be a pest when it comes time to work on the engine.
Thanks,
Mike
