Testing speed sensor

I have a bit of a problem with my speedometer, It was reading 50 today and I swear I was only running about 40, didn't feel like 50 at all. So is there any way to test a speed sensor? My trucks a 92 so it would be located on the rear axle correct? I'm kind of hoping theres a way to fix it lol. Also while i'm creating a thread, I got my tps/fipl adjusted today and that was my E4Od's major issue, it was off very badly, so is there anything else transmission related that I should test? I have a digital multimeter now and its no problem to test anything as you all know. I about got this E4OD whooped and i'm ready to move on to my injector swap. Thanks in advance for any input guys

It's been awfully hot and humid, if there is alot of sweat in the crack it'll feel like that.

Did you change your tire size recently?

No its still got 265's. about to go to 285's in about two weeks though

i am having the same problem, i was on the phone with my girlfriend while we were driving in seperate vehicles and my speedometer seems to be 5-10 km/h out. but my trip meter and my odometer seem to be reading correctly. i test it once a week my work is 27-28 km from my home. how much do speed sensors generally cost?

Try pulling it out of the diff housing and wiping off the magnet. It's just a hall effects sensor and over time, the magnet can procure metal particulates which will disrupt and accurate reading.
