I have a tailgate for my truck, every time I let it down it falls off the mounts. I did however get the little plastic insert that goes into the passenger side of the tailgate, and am still having issues with the tailgate falling off its hinges. I am thinking my tailgate is sprung. Any tips on how to tell if it is, and how to fix it?

Tailgate prolly tweaked from having too much weight on it and bowed it out.
Got one on Mater that does the same thing from stacking too much firewood on it. Only thing to do is replace it.

I got the tailgate out of the junkyard from a truck that it fit and worked without falling off. My truck originally have a working tailgate. I really cant see anywhere that the tailgate is bent or anything.

No I dont. I didnt know there was one on both sides. Anyone have one to sell me? The truck I got it from in the junkyard only had the one on the passenger side so thats all I thought they had.

90% of the time they will break when you go to take them out. You will probably need a new one. I am sure LMC or your local HELP rack has em
