Symptoms of dying DMF

What are the symptoms of a dying DMF? My truck shakes and rattles bad on shut down but I always thought that was normal or maybe it is I don't know, it has done this since I bought the truck 3 years ago, it also has a coffee can rattle quite often when you lug it. Truck has 219,000 miles on all original parts (except starter, alt, batts and rad, IP still has original ford build date sticker of Feb '89 on it lol). Thanks all in advance!!!!

ditch it now before it leaves you stranded that is what mine did so i converted to smf and not another prob w/ the clutch. if you have the means, get a luk solid flywheel and a southbend con ofe clutch kit.
