The time has come to either swap in a diesel or rebuild the gasser for my Jeep project. I have a '67 CJ5 with the Buick 225 V6. I'd love to go diesel in the old Jeep. The problem comes with availability and adaptability.
I'm planning to put a NP435 in the Jeep as well. In a diesel, I'm looking for something readily available. Nothing exotic or hard to find (or find parts for). I'm also pretty set on using the Ford 4 spd. (an SM420 would also be a possibility)
I'm pretty much stuck with 4 bangers, due to space limitations, but if anyone knows of a small V6 diesel, I'm open to it.
Suggestions? :dunno:

Cummins 4bt, or 4-cylinder perkins. Both easy to find and will fit. Some websites out there with info on the cummins swap.

Those were the ones that came to my mind...

The 4bt is really common in delivery trucks (bread trucks and the like).
