I second the others on the friendliness over at the Chevy sites. I am a member on one of them, but only for educational purposes. I don't partake in the bantor. If fitting in the garage were not so important, my wife could hook you up with a new Duaramx powered 4X4 van. Kinda like the Quigley units.
As a side note, I attended a GM forum last Tuesday discussing the new '07 Duramax and the new emissions compliant changes. My advise is get a left over '06 or '07 classic if you can find one. The new LMM engine is going to be a warantee issue nightmare which the aftermarket is going to make a fortune off of. Just my uneducated .02 worth.
