WAR DAMN EAGLE!
Loading tractor on equipment trailer attached to my truck. Truck is on a hill, in park with E-brake on. Wheels not blocked. Straight ramps.
Some of you can guess what happened.
As the tractor (with large grain drill attached) hits the dovetail, down the hill we go. As the whole rig starts moving I hit the brake (pedals are pinned together) on the tractor and didn't hit the clutch at the same time. The tractor does a spin to the right. Man that right brake sure was stronger than the left. Now we are going down the hill with the front of the tractor hanging off the trailer. At this point I jump from tarctor toward the rear. I hit the ground on my right ankle and almost broke it.
The truck/trailer jack knife the tractor jumps off the trailer. Then it all stops. the tractor is hung to the trailer by the grain drill and is jammed against a tree with its tires spinning. The truck is jammed against anothr tree.
Was very lucky that day. Bent bumper and hood and broke grill on truck. Busted right side rear dually femder as it slid into hit another truck and trailer with equipment on it. Tractor didn't have more than scratched paint. I lost a few days from work from sprained ankle.
Learned a valuable lesson that day.
