You know the push down style tapered metal threads on the top of our factory oil pressure senders and other senders? Everyone go delete the push down plug sometime when you get 5 minutes. In some other thread I had jokingly brought up how despite having 40 psi on my mechanical oil pressure gauge my factory dash gauge was saying I was less then 7 and turning my check engine light on and bouncing back and forth all over the place.

Didn't care because I knew my oil pressure was good until it started blinking my check engine light like a turn signal, and the things fine but the stupid push down thing was able to rotate and when the engine was vibrating and giving me hell.

Cut it stripped the wire wrapped it on the sender post and put some liquid electrical tape on it and my idiot gauge is back to telling me absolutely nothing useful outside of being at the "o" in normal, but the damn check engine light has shut up too. @typ4 just in case this is what's up with yours and you wanna make yours quit. My plug seemed on there pretty snug but it wasn't making good enough contact to not make stuff wonky.

Never had a problem with those.
Sure is one weird way to describe the connector. Lol
Instead of Jerry rigging it, I would have either put the correct size female bullet connector, squeeze it down slightly with pliers, or put a ring terminal and nut to hold it on.
Many spark plugs use the same type, no problems there either.

It's threaded.just crimp on a wire lug and use a nut to hold it there
