ok so i have a 1994.5 psd and it has a major exhaust leak so im doing up pipes and maifolds vut the manifolds are rust welded into the block and i dont want to strip out the head of the bolt.any ideas?
Good luck. Typically the manifolds themselves don't leak and most leave them alone.
But if you so wish, many use a die grinder and cut the bolts. Normally the threads don't stick in the block.
Had one get stuck and break off on my 6.9. Used heat and an EZ-out. It came out, but it was out of the truck and on an engine stand. I put crazy heavy dose of copper anti-seize on those bolts when they went back in.
