So, in taking "That Damn Truck" for a spin this evening I noticed that the transmission won't upshift normally. If I take off nice and easy, it won't shift into second until I let off of the throttle. If I floor it, it shifts normally. Same for second to third. In fact in second, if I'm not going fast enough and I let off of the throttle to get it to shift into 3rd, as soon as I step on the pedal again, it drops back into 2nd.

Even new my C6 trany always shifter high and hard. And later down the years if I'm light on the pedal it doesn't like to shift from 1st to 2nd unless I ease of the throttle a touch (been like this for years)...until....There's a little vacuume dial/pod located on the drivers side of the injector pump (at least on my year)...I rotated it about 1/8th" (don't recall which way) and it really helped the hard 1'st to 2'nd lock-up shifting.

You gotta get the VRV (Vacuum Regulator Valve) on the side of the IP dialed in. YOu need a vacuum pump and a guage and set the VRV to Ford Specs. I will send you an e-mail with the correct settings in there. Once you get it set right, the tranny will shift like it is meant to. I couldn't believe the difference once I got it dialed in and adjusted properly. Scotty

Send me an e-mail to [email protected] and I will send you the C6 manual on PDF format. It is a great manual. Very informative. Scotty

It is on its way. Let me know when you get it. Good luck. This was a life saver for me, once I figured it out. Scotty

I sent them to you HammerDown, they are about 6MB's so if your box is full, let me know or send me an e-mail to [email protected] and I will return the message again with the manual.

Mel, if you could send another e-mail to the above address, I will CC you on the e-mail. Scotty
