Okay, about a week ago I posted that my '93 was having some problems starting, and everyone agreed that it was probably in the return lines, or possibly in the lift pump. Well, I WAS planning going past the IH dealership in the way home today and picking up a set of return lines to install this weekend. Just to check, before I started this morning, I ran my pass mirror down so that I could watch the exhaust. Normal cold start, cranked a a few seconds, then finally fired and ran a little rough. I got a good size puff of white smoke, followed by a tiny black cloud, then another decent size puff of white smoke, then it cleared up. Is it still safe to assume that it's just the return lines or lift pump, or should I be shopping for an IP and some injectors too?
Thanks,
Mark
