The paint keeps peeling off of my running boards(smooth aluminum), and I was thinking about using some off the shelf spray/roll on liner material on them. What are your thoughts on how well it would hold up, and how slippery would it be when wet? Thanks.

clean the alum--some half coarse sand--put on liner--throw on some sand--zero slip--

I don't see why it wouldn't work, we coated a leaky aluminum boat with the stuff from wally world (the gallon can for 40 bucks) on the outside and then used it all summer with no leaks

but why not use rubberized trunk coating? it's a spray can for $7, and it goes on rough and non-slip
