Smoke from injectors.

Been around IDIs for a little bit. Recently picked one up (89 f250) after selling my 89 dually. It seems like it had sat for 10+ years. Put a new fuel filter, GP controller & glowplugs, and rebuilt injectors from a credible source. I had recently done the valve cover gaskets and noticed after doing so white smoke coming from the injectors/glowplugs on a few cylinders. Smoke seems to go away when I take the oil cap off. CDR? Bad rings? Cracked head?Any info helps, thanks.

Loose threads?
Bad glows, or wires?
Fuel dribble on exhaust?

New copper washers, zero leaks, new GP wires, and everything is torqued to spec. Runs fine and starts up with zero issues. I’m just a little confused.

Residual lucas smoke.
Get it hot and sweaty for an extended period of time with a load on it.
Usually makes a difference...

I wouldn't recommend getting it "hot and sweaty".

Good afternoon, colleagues. I bought this truck. It had been abandoned for years and the last time it was started was 3 years ago.The injection pump was damaged, so I had to buy a rebuilt one that was bench-tested. The injectors were also serviced.I was finally able to install the entire system, but a lot of smoke is coming out of the engine. I thought it was residual diesel in the exhaust, but after an hour I turned it on, the abundant smoke continues.
