smilies no work?

can sombody tell me why i can't add any smilies into my posts anymore?

have i been abusing my smilies?
have my smilie privileges been revoked?

don't think i won't go old school on you guys. : (

the disable smilies option has no effect.

yes, i can see everbody elses.

i think it must be my fault. i posted on a different site after posting here earlier.
i couldn't get the smilies on that site to work either.

funny thing is, if i make the : ( without the space between the : and the ( i get . which seems appropiate to my mood on this subject.

Down in the bottom left corner of this page is the posting rules box. Can you click on "smilies" and bring up the list of smilies? Does it say "Smilies are On"?

yeap, smilies are on.

i wonder if it has something to do with my firefox browser. i think it recently updated itself.

when i click on a smilie the page resets itself back to top. doesn't affect anything i've typed.

i'll go to the firefox website and dig around a little. because it also happened on the other site i think it must be something on my computer.

if i could find the ip on this thing i'd adjust the timing a little. L O L <--not as much fun as the laughing smilie.

well i poked around the firefox help site. they recommended clearing cache and cookies. looks like it worked. don't know why.
