Sensors a 94 7.3L Powerstroke can do without

Can someone list the sensors on a 94 7.3L Powerstorke and which it can run without?

Also would I need someone to hook it up to a computer to disable them?

I currently have a 7.3 IDI in my boat and have the opportunity of swapping it for the Powerstroke.

It really needs all of them.

Why would you try removing them when you can simply swap the whole wiring harness. Gotta have the computer with the engine anyways.

My intention was to pick some brains and think ahead before I make the investment. I have read that they have a sensor in the transmission which wont be carried over. I also think the have one in the radiator which also wont be used in the marine application. I understand the computer has to be used just wondering if it has to be reprogrammed. A company called Star Power marinized both the IDI and early Powerstrokes. So it can be done. Also do the IDI exhaust manifolds bolt on to the early Powerstroke?

No on manifolds.

I haven't heard of those sensors. At least not on an obs model.

You NEED cps.icp,ipr.

It will run without the tranny sensors,oil and water temp,oil pressure,exhaust back pressure.

For the wiring,idm and ecm look into getting it from an international truck

The powerstroke is obviously a a whole ‘nother animal. If the exhaust manifold don't bolt up id have to adapt the water cooled manifolds from my IDI.

When I bring the engine over it would keep all the original wiring harness and everything attached to it. The parts left behind are the transmission, radiator, fans, a/c, and other stuff around it like power steering and brake pump.

If I have to mess with the computer and programming, that may be out of my reach.

I love the simplicity of my IDI but I want the power of my powerstroke. Ill keep researching and learning about the powerstroke, Hopefully I can get it done.

You wont need to mess with programming.you will need to figure out a throttle as the psd is fly by wire with a tps and throttle on/off switch on the pedal

You can try a little google search for the parts. The T444E (PSD) was sold for marine use. You might find your manifolds and throttle set up this way.

Maybe the correct wiring harness as well.

You may need to play withprogramming. Pushing water is completely different from moving on land.run a ford ecm and im sure one of the many programmer guys can burn you a chip for it.
