Was wondering what folks do for cracks behind the dash? I have a coulple that are easy fixes--long cracks that can be patched with fiberglass tape and bondo (hey, don't laugh--it works!) or JB welded. But the dash also has cracks everywhere there's a copper tab to receive the bolts that hold the dash bezels in place. I've been using JB weld, but it tends to crack when I put the bezels back on and tighten the bolts--even if I don't make them very tight.
Pretty p*ss poor design, honestly... Let's see... flimsy, unsupported plastic + a few years of aging = a dash that falls apart from inside...
Has anyone else run across this? How did you make the fix?
Thanks,
Mike
