how long do your radiators last?

what do you guys think, get it recored at a radiator shop or just buy new?

my radiator just sprung a leak at one of the tank seams. the radiator was last recored 10 years ago. i guess i'll try a new one this time, 360.00.

If mine lasted 10 years I would have a rad shop boil it out and tell me if it could be rodded out or recored. If you buy another core make sure the fin count is the same or more than what you have now. Also the row count is important. There is lots of talk about 3 row, 4 row dimple, plain 4 row and the custom 5 row. So, you see there is plenty of information you need to know before just buying another radiator. Also you can really buy some offshore junk radiators that are built very thin and will not handle the pressures and vibration of a diesel for long.

Mine did the same thing on me a few weeks ago. I got a factory replacement for about $400. Cooling is not something I like to skimp on.
