Rear seal on 2wd ZF?

Obviously there is the traditional rear main seal on the ZF, but on a 2wd is there a seal that is supposed to go on the yoke behind the nut? I have a slight drip from there after overfilling the tranny.

Accoding to the tech manual for my 94, there is an "input shaft extension seal" behind the output yoke. The last four numbers of the factory part number are 7052. I got the info from page 07-03b-11, Transmission, Model S5-42-ZF.
