racor 500fg question

ok i ordered everything to recondition my racor water seperator.. i ordered 3 filters..i dont know if i need all 3..but from what i read it uses all 3, like one in side of other, for a stage 1, 2, 3 etc.. am i right or did i only need one filter?

i was just looking at mine last night and got online to check into filter availability. i think it only uses one filter. you must have seen that there are different micron rated filters available, i found 2 and 10 micron filters. they probably also have a 30 micron. what did you order?

i ordered one of each, they were only 9 a piece and i wanted to make sure i got what i needed. i got the 2, 10 and 30 their description is what confused me.

here is a pic..the blue one looks like it could go into the other two..

i bought all my stuff off here, only place i could find the broken parts i needed.

they will all be the same size physically and you can only use one at a time, the only real difference being the filter media of each filter. the 30 micron is for primary filtration and the 2 and 10 micron is for secondary (or final) filtration, use one or the other depending upon how fine you want to filter particulates.
