Quick question re: coolant test strips

Just bought a bottle of 4106 test strips from Napa. The bottle says they don't expire until 9/12, but the strips inside are already slightly colored. I thought good ones were white in color until they've been dipped in the coolant, and thats when they start changing. Am I wrong?

Mine expired last November but Im wondering the same thing cause mine are already colored.

Litmus paper is colored, don't know if its the same story here - never used a test strip cause I run coolant that doesnt need sca to protect against cavitation

Back to page one... anybody know if good test strips are supposed to be white or already colored some?

Mine were already colored some, they are Fram too though, never know about that
