Quick! Need help with bed/cap fit- model year.

Morning all!
I'm going to pick up my 1990 F250 long bed this morning. It's 3.5 hours away. I'm shopping Craigslist for a cap and I've found a few prospects along the way. Question: will a cap from a 1993 long bed fit (properly) on my '90? What about newer generation trucks? The '90 is gen 8 will a gen 9 or 10 be the same fit? Thanks all!

any ford longbed (8 ft) cap for 80-97 will fit on your truck. '99 up are 4 inches taller due to the raised roofline.
