These are the rules I have written up for our local pulls. Two in Lynden one in Sumas and a possible pull in Ferndale they are not DHRA rules and vary from others across the country however these work best for our situation and as the pulls grow so will the rules. We have both gas and diesel truck compete
Dates for our pulls will be announced as soon as they are available.

Street Pickup Division
The classes for entry are as follows: including
A . 2 wheel drive truck all sizes all Weight (including DRW)
B. light truck 4x4s Weight up to 4500lbs (including DRW)
C. 4 wheel drive Light truck Weight up to 6500lbs (including DRW)
D. 4 wheel drive Heavy Weight up to 8500lbs (including DRW)
E. Exhibition class *

Street Pickup class:
Street legal means the vehicle can be driven legally on our streets and roads, lights turn signals and safety equipment must work. No blocks on springs.
Tires must be DOT approved for highway use, No off road or cut tires allowed.
Minimum 2 inch receiver with a minimum 2.5 inch inside diameter shackle required. Hitch height for the sled cannot exceed 24" Hitch must be parallel with the ground. A clevis may be used if the pulling committee inspects and approves its location.
A pickup can be pulled 2 times providing is with a different driver. ( at the discretion of the pulling committee) The Hook Fee is $25 per hook for all pickups. All trucks will have a tech inspection before being allowed to pull.

* Exhibition class consists of all trucks over 8500lbs,using anything other than normal fuel (nitrous, propane, water/**** ect..) any truck with multiple chargers or supercharged (unless factory installed) or any truck that exceeds the 24 inch hitch height rule.

The Puget Sound Antique Tractor and Machinery Association and its pulling committee is not responsible for any damage that may result to the pulling vehicle by hooking to or pulling the sled.

1. No riders the only person allowed in the truck is the driver.
2. Pulling vehicles must be operated in a safe manner as possible at all times.
pulling committee will at all times have the right to disqualify any contestant determined to be doing anything that jeopardizes the SAFETY of anyone or anything.
3. Vehicles must be street legal. Seat belts must be worn during the event track judges will check for compliance.
4. vehicles must stop immediately upon signal (red flag) from the Track Judge. The pull
is over when forward motion stops as determined by the Track Judge.
5. Drivers must watch the track judge at all times and if a signal is missed the driver is eligible for disqualification.
6. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES !!! will be allowed in the pit area, vehicles on or around the track. Violation of this rule by a member of the pit crew family or friend will be treated the same as if it were the driver.
7 All vehicles must be in neutral or park while being hooked or unhooked from the sled. Any action on the pullers part that jeopardizes the sled operator, track officials or crew members in the staging areas will result in disqualification.
8. All drivers must attend the drivers meeting. Which will be held in the pulling area 15 minutes prior to the start of the event. Non attendance can be grounds for disqualification.
9. All vehicles must have a driver behind the wheel when the engine is running.
10. Any portion to the pulling vehicle or sled that touches the course boundary lines will be disqualified.
11. Vehicles with manual transmissions are not allowed to shift gears once the pull is started.
12. Pickup beds must have the floor intact and all objects in the bed must be fastened securely
13. Any and all weights used must be attached firmly in place. No weights to be hung in front of trucks or in the cabs.

Looks like a simple set of rules. Anybody that wants to pull it looks like a place is there for them and safety is a factor which is very important.
