Mine sounds like the very soft idle of a two stroke dirtbike about a block away. Ting...tinng tinng.... tingg.... ting. Maybe its just me :dunno I think I'll grab another cold one :rotflmao

I heard a rapid, metallic "clink":eek:

So, I pulled the cover off the IP gear mount, and found my screws starting to back out.

:rotflmao sontimes im helpful, but yes i went threw the same thing, except mine ruined the pump cover and the inspection cover so consider yourself lucky, when i caught mine it sounded just like the engine was knocking when i pulled the cover 2 bolts were gone and the last one was about to fall out:eek: were did the go? who knows but im sure something didnt like them when it found them-cuss

Mine sounds like a shrill whistle.

If you roll up a piece of paper and stick it in the filler neck the noise nearly goes away. I think this is because the threads of the filler neck are acting as flutes...does any of that make sense??

You must be an engineer?

Mine has been quite for some time now.... got to replace those injectors...
