I have the factory Turbo set up. I was wondering how all of you guys on here pulled your uppipes. Do you drop it out the bottom by pulling the crossover pipe and then pulling the slip joint apart? Or do you pull it out the top Turbo and all? Like I said probably stupid but its leaking and I want to get it fixed. Its covering my pretty engine with nasty soot. .

when i pulled my turbo out i left the up-pipe connected to the turbo and snaked it out. not hard at all.

when i want to take out the y-collector i just take the cross over pipe off and then unbolt the y from the manifold and it comes right out. you need to take off the nut that holds the trans dipstick to the valve cover though so you can pull the dip stick tube out of the trans some for clearance.

BTW, good luck at getting that slip fit up pipe joint sealed up again.

That's exactly it. The top and back of my engine then my transmission is covered in soot and it runs terrible. Any good ideas how to seal it?
