So here's the deal, i have 2 billet converters for the 4r100 trans (powerstroke) One single and one triple disc. Now i am aware of the bolt patterns being diffrent (4 for idi and 6 for powerstroke) However i was thinking of a little fabrication if you will, to adapt powerstroke converters on are flex plates and that's were your input would be appreciated
I was thinking about getting a powerstroke flex plate and of course an idi one as well and mounting them on top of each-other and drilling the six holes into the idi plate for mounting purposes
Sounds like it may work i would believe if one made sure everything was in line and accurate than balancing shouldn't be an issue. Now if my research is correct than these two converters do in fact share the same spline count and are the same (except for stud differences) so Just going out on a limb here with a mere suggestion. Has anyone heard of this? Does anyone make a 6 hole flex-plate for our idis? Don't know? tell me I'm half crazy or 100% Thanks guys
