I cannot get the injector installed. Thinking that there was something in the bore that I couldn't see or get to I called for service from the people who sold me the injector. When the guy got here, he said the bore was clear and didn't see any reason why it doesn't fit so took it back to the shop to research it.

I hope I made the right choice by calling an International service center.

He was young but drove up in a very nice power stroked Ford F350 with International logos all over it.

I once saw a kid that was younger than me driving around in a lifted dodge w/ cummins and stacks with trailer full of quads and dirtbikes. I would be willing to bet he was driving "dady's" truck. My point is it does not matter what they are driving they could still be dumb or not know how to work on the vehicle.

if you would have told him you have a powerstroke he would have probly beleived you.

the nozzle probably unscrewed when you took the injector off. i doubt the engine ate it, its either stuck in the head otherwise it is in the precup.

If the tip is stuck in there grind the threads off the old one and then spin the injector back on, then yank it straight out. otherwise the new one wont go in without pushing the tip in:rotflmao

I am still fighting getting the new injector in. I've cleaned and cleaned but it will not even start to thread on. Brattain International suggested that there is carbon holding it up. I am at wits end but will take another picture of the injector bore and post it here since I don't know what to look for. Be back shortly.

OK, here are some pics of what i'm working with. Does anyone see anything out of the ordinary?

The pics are smaller than I was thinking they would be. Maybe I should go out and take them again.

Hahaha giggity.

cant tell for sure, looks like the tip is in there though. you can test this by taking a piece of coat hanger and sticking it in, if it doesnt go in past the hole the tip is in there.
