Progress - now that spring is here. I got all the cab mount bolts loosened or removed, and can jack the cab up to torque the head bolts so here we go. Spent a good part of this afternoon cleaning the driver side block surface. So tell me- is this clean enough?
I scraped every last bit of anything off with a razor blade. It looks like there is still some stuff on there in the pics, but trust me, it is just stains. Then I hit it with some brake clean and medium then fine sanding pads. It is not a uniform shiny surface as there are still some stains from old gaskets, but definitely no gasket material left. How do these pics look?
