Even though I don't own an IDI I've always liked them. I used to drive 2 of them for a towing company I worked for years ago and they sure were slow but always got the job done.

I know there are people out there that are still using their IDIs to tow trailers and haul heavy loads so I was wondering if anyone could share some pics of their IDIs at work.

That B was surprisingly heavy, at least it seemed to pull the hardest.

I always like to show this picture to my chevy buddies.

If that is three tons, I dont wanna even know what I put my ford through. 250 bales on a 29' tandem gooseneck.

me to that is only five high on that trailer and it sure dont look like alfalfa.

I have hauled a 32 ft trailer that was made for equipment(heavy as hell) with almost 300 bales of hay on it. it was slow but it didnt complain except for the 3/4 ton suspension saggin a bit.

I started to hook my bros load of alfalfa on to my truck just to see what would happen but I kinda shyed away scared to warp my springs. the alfalfa alone weighed 7.5 tons plus the 24 ft tandem axle trailer. I know my bros truck, and the trailer with hay weighed in right at 27,000 full of fuel. hauled that load from missouri to my hometown down south of houston.

Heres mine with some hay and a small load of firewood. You couldn't hardly tell the hay was behind the truck, but the firewood was a different story. It was all green red oak.

16685 to 18585 pounds + the weights. Not a bad load.
