Holy crap! You guys need to slow down or there won't be any trucks left!!!:eek:

My project '57 technically used zero parts from a truck. I used an old motorhome C&C (with 40K miles on it and a leaky roof).

I bought my '86 to use parts on the '57, but I like it so much I can't bear to take it apart. We did swap the tires and wheels from the '86 to the '57.

A quick lap around my truck and I came up with 24 trucks that donated parts. Probably more if I really tried but when you own a car lot you can buy trucks that have stuff you want for your truck,...Seems to happen a lot,..:sly

I believe mine will have parts off of two other trucks, though one is a windshield wiper knob LOL, the other is an AC compressor off of another (not on yet).

Towcat, I sure hell hope you didn't scrap those clean regular cabs as well....?

I know about that crew cab, but not about the others. You have any idea how hard it is to find a half decent shape cab here??????

Also that bumper that was on the Crew cab looked brand new, super shinny! I needed it!!!

I've had to buy 2 trucks so far to gather up all the body parts to restore my 1990 IDI F250. All i'm missing now is still a cab, and factory FORD tailgate with the letters.

My current '88 F150 that's in my sig has a great cab, would need corners to be perfect, but that's what I thaught anyways, where the floor meets the back wall inbetween the frame rails, it's rotted there. That's not gonna be very fun raparing that. I'm still looking around for a good cab in the mean time, but if by summer I haven't found another one, I'll have no choice to repair this one.

Heres some pics.

My poor looking but great running F250

My first parts truck, all I'm keeping off of this one for my F250 is the hood! All body parts will be sold off. There all brand new, but overseas stuff. Hood is original repainted. XLT Lariat 5.0L 5 speed rolling chassis.

Striped down, still need to remove the doors.

And my current 88 F150, front clip is all nice and rust free, and it also came with an extra box, doors, hood, lights, bumpers and everything off another truck but a cab.

Heres the box.

And that short box on the long box frame F150 comes off the silver parts F150

Same problem the red one has, only much worst, where the floor meets the back wall in the middle inbetween frame rails, is rotted through. And cornors had been bondoed.

The 85 required four trucks for the basic Ford stuff. Two more railroad vehicles for the wheels. Its nowhere near finished yet.LOL

Luckely with mine, all I need is a body, i'm keeping my complete original interior, driveline, axles, everything but the tin work.

I already have everything I'll need, except a "good" cab, although my red one is great, still gonna be a job to fix it to make it perfect, so if by summer I don't find a better one, I'll strip it down and start working on it. So I only have 2 trucks so far.
