Picked up a new wix one piece filter for $25. Man what wonders a new fuel filter will do to your motor, now its not bogging down or anything. I guess the old filter is really old and was never changed because the bottom piece will not come off, all it does it spin and spin.

A seller on evil bay just had the top and bottom piece for our 7.3 filters up for bids... Really cheap too...

Its a good swap if you want the ease of a simple one step spin on that still has a water drain. It's all upto your personal preference.

I just paid 27.00 for a goldenrod 10 micron water separator/filter, and

23.00 for a goldenrod 5 micron filter, both with heads and see-thru bowl assemblies.

Oh, and $5 for the bowl wrench.

Is there any reason to absolutely run the sensor port filter? I would like to get away from the 2 peice style.
