The pickup tube outside dia is .990 and the inside is .897... Hope this is close enough. The oil pump outlet is as close as I can get at the moment. Its .700. I dought the block port is any smaller than that. Remember there isn't a gasket between the pump and the block but I use avaition sealant there. There is a gasket between the pump and oil pickup tube. Its nothing special... What are you doing "down there".....
Not in there at the moment, JUst trying to calculate the practicality of the Amsoil remote mount filter setup since they enlarged the oil lines on the things. They now have larger oil lines than any other remote filter setup, but by those figures, even the one designed for a 7.3 PSD is still lacking ever so slightly in cross section for our engines I guess I need to tear my spare engine apart and mic the oil gallery at the crank , the lifters , cam and the turbo feed and add them up and see what the total comes up to. There may be something that was figured in.
AHA! looks like my suspicions were correct. I just remembered my spare block had the oil cooler off and The oil port in the block where it leaves to enter the oil cooler is a mere .465" and according to the factory manual the oil goes straight from the pump to there so there are no diversions before that point. So a 1/2" line would be plenty
Reading what you are doing you forgot the piston oil cooler jets. Those have an opening size of 0.052 or 1.37mm. The oil pump output is 18.2 gpm at 3000 rpm.
