I made a catch can ,just havent installed it yet. Figure if the vapor cools, the oil will condense out and fall back into the engine. Putting it back in the fuel pump hole is a great idea.

Should be easy to do. Just get one of those Cheby big block block-off plates and then you can drill it for a fitting. ;Sweet

This system you are building..... Its not going to be a complete closed system dumping all the blowby back into the mechanical pump blockoff plate area??? The blowby pressure needs to go somewhere and most will dump it to the streets or just run it back into the intake...

its based on the golden rod filter housing and head that i aquired for free
what i did so far was just (its aluminum) weld a tube to the out port (witch is going to be the in
this is what im going to do
figure out how to put some sort of steel in the top
weld some brackets to the filter head
vent to atmosphere
and set up the oil drain and all is going to be good
then i should be in business

I think it is 1-1/4. Best bet is to do like I did and just buy every size betwen 1" and 2". They are cheap, and one of them will fit. LOL
