I just left the new car lot, I'm thinking about trading in my 2001 F-250 diesel for a new 2009 model. I asked the salesman about changing my own oil. He told me the dealer has to do it, I can't do it myself. Something about lifting the body from the engine. Is this true, or can I do it myself like I can with my old 2001 F-250?

Ummm, I would go into the service department with that sales guy and ask him the same question in front of the service writers. When THEY get up off of the floor and catch their breath from laughing, you'll realize that particular salesman is an idiot. Most vehicle sales guys were selling furniture 6 weeks ago and are clueless about the vehicles they are selling.
