I was out of the leak free zone for about 12hrs. I bumped a return cap while doing some other stuff, and 1 twist = drip drip drip.

So when this happened, I adopted a general hate for O-rings. I know that they are good technology, and under perfect conditions, they will seal better, and for higher pressures than any combination of gaskets and bolts. But man! It’s the perfect conditions that get me. I’ve had so much trouble with O-rings over the years. From automotive, to plumbing, to RVs. You name it. Give me a copper gasket, or a paper gasket, that I can 'goop' and torque any day.

I know this is silly backwards thinking, but hey I drive an IDI so what the heck.
