So the wife is on HWY 94 in North Dakota at hwy 16. Anybody That can help her JB weld a plastic top tank or her Jeep.
Shes trying to get to Wisconsin to be with Our Daughter that is undergoing cancer treatment.
thanks.
Russ

Edit, she found some JB at the truckstop on Hwy16, shes going to patch it and run with the cap loose.
shes headed east if anyone is close along the route.

Russ, it's worse than you thought, but you know the cause of the problem now. Once the JBW sets it should hold for as long as it take to get to Wisconsin. The unknown is the rest of the radiator, the rest of the plastic.

I have a radiator that has had JBW patching a leak for years. Admittedly it's a metal radiator, and that's an advantage.

It's time to order up that new radiator to install when you get to join her.

It's 0430 now, the middle of the night. Time to get back to bed.

Well, it wouldnt hold , plastic tanks suck. She got towed to a hotel in Bismarck and Oreillys had a radiator and she likely has it changed out now . Waiting for an update.

Things like radiator tanks are nylon filled and not much sticks. Im guessing the rad was plugged a little and helped cause it, because the new one is the same skinny POS and its running noticeably cooler.
Combination of 90+degrees, 80+ mph and altitude finished it off. And I never looked but those have an 18lb cap, it has a 13 now.
