My parking break is not in any working fashion at all at the the moment and i have the 5sp personaly dont like to use the trany to hold it in place everywhere i go. The brake pads are good front and rear replaced 20k ago the adjusters is all the way any ideas? will help? yes i know the parking break only locks the rear wheels just notting that there all good and whole rear end is rebuild as well axel seals bearings gears ect. no leaks so not from that either??????????????

If you still have the original brake cables, you may need to change them out. The cable will freeze in the sleeve and you will not be able to apply the brake.

You need to pull the drums off and check the for movement of the cable end. The good news is that new cables are pretty cheap.

The cables also stretch over time... Something else to check if they move properly...
