I have an 89 7.3 idi. I was driving it one day and it just quit on me. Everything just went dead no electricity. Dead. What would that be?

Alternator might have went out on you not charging Batts anymore. Check your batteries. Make sure those are fully charged. When you have fully charge batteries, what happens? If your truck decides it wants to run again guess what you have a bad alternator. I'm not sure if these trucks have this feature but when your alternator is bad the battery light comes on in the dash signaling the use of battery power being consumed rather that from the alternator.

Could be a bad grounding cable. Maybe you got struck by lightning. Who knows?

Check the yellow wire going to the fuseable links, it is puged together by the gp relay on the oassepass side fender. That is were all my problems were in my 86. It would break connection and the .remake it. Gave me a ton of trouble before I found it. Hope this helps.
