lots of things going wrong with my truck. Starter died but it was under warranty so i am getting a new one; walmart batteries almost new and already weak so i am going for a refund on them and buying some better ones. Now, while replacing the fuel filter i noticed that the nut at the outlet of the filter where the steel line comes out was stripped. It gets fairly tight but only to a point, then it loosens again. I almost wonder if air was getting in here, or if it was losing pressure when the truck was shut off due to this.
Anyway, i backed the nut all the way off but could not remove the steel line, which seems to have some kind of compression fit as it slides into the elbow fitting at the filter.
Does anyone know what kind of nut this is so i can find a new one? Is this one of those "olive fittings" or whatever like the inlet to the filter? If anyone has the info needed to order a new one could you let me know?
thanks,
Paul
