Newbie with 93 f250

I just found this site and It looks like it contains a wealth of information on these trucks. This is my second IDI, my first one was an 84 f250 4x4, c6,4.10 gears,2 1/2" lift and 35's.

My new toy is a 93 f250 4x4, zf 5sp,4.10 gears, that I am turning into my camping/dirtbike hauler. I have a build thread going over at Expeditionportal.

You might want to look into beefing up how the bed is attached to the frame. From the factory there are only 6 carrage bolts. I once saw a camper and the truck bed on the side of the road.

I thought about that. I'll have to look into possibly adding some extra mounts that still allow for frame flex. Also I'm a fellow Rosebillian here.

Nice looking setup there. You definitely want to allow for frame flex if you remount. I have an aftermarket bed on my truck and for some reason they didn't use rubber mounting, they just bolted that sucker to the frame so the tail end of that sucker is stiff as can be. It will beat you to death They might have done it in this case to increase the gooseneck towing capacity ( by going rigid there are no weak links, that's for sure)

I saw that you are in Roseville on the other site and from the look of the street I'd say your off of Diamond Oaks somewhere. I'll have to come by and check out your rig sometime. My 5th wheel hitch ties the bed and the hitch rails to the frame real well, it's not going anywhere.
