new track bar bushings= WOW

i just installed new track bar bushings and wow. i used energy suspensions poly bushings. i knew they were bad because they were reall cracked and falling apart. i took it out for a test drive tonight and found myself overcorrecting all the time because there is sooo much less play now. now all i need to do is replace the steering linkage and new kingpin bushings.

is that with the dana 60 ot TTB front end? I need to do the same to mine sometime......

If you do not have your kingpin bushings yet check out ruff stuff specialties.com. That is where I bought mine from and was great kit with everything you need including the kingpins. For my track bar I bought 2 heim joints and cut a peice of 1 1/4 steel rod and made a track bar. I do not have any problems with death wobble at all now..

that would work too. if i had the tools to fabricate, i would go that route as you would then have an adjustable track bar for when it is lifted. i have a f350 so it has the d60 in it. d50 do not have track bars. do you remeber how much the kit cost. i have seen a kit on ebay for 99 plus shipping to redo both sides.

I have a dana 60 in mine. Adjustable track bar is nice just real stiff since there is no rubber bushings. I can't remember the total for the kit but there was a pic of a polar bear on the package. I"m thinking it was around $50 a side for everything. That also included the new kingpins, If you need them, I just saved them for the future. All I needed was the nylon bushings. Sorry I gave you the wrong website before. Its AA frabacation that sell the kits. He has them on e-bay too for $50 a side. So for little over $100 complete rebuild.

i think for now, i will just install new bushings. i had everything apart to replace the front axle u joints so i took a look and cleaned things up. the bushings are so easy to replace anyway.
