I was told that Ford put a voltage regulator in the gauge panel. That would explain why the oil pressure drops when the lights are on. Ever have it read higher, lower, higher, lower as you drive? Mine do sometimes. 81 F150 with 302, 86 Bronco with 6.9, 85 F250 with 6.9. They all do it.
