So I JUST purchased my VERY FIRST diesel in my lifetime. I picked up a 1991 Ford F250 7.3L with only 108,000 miles for $1800. It needs a very minor things, a couple dents repaired, and a paint job. Any advice to help the longevity of the engine or any advice in general? Did I get a decent deal?

Also, any cheap modifications that can be done to help MPG, HP, etc. are much appreciated.

Welcome! Good to see another Ohio member! Theres lots of info here on these trucks, spend some time reading in the tech articals, most of your questions will be answered there. If not this is the best group on the net for getting advice and info.
