More maintenance ....

Continuing ....

Replaced all the original heater & radiator hoses
One of the heater hoses had a ' factory t ' and a 1/2" line
ran down to the bottom of the radiator

Engine is equipped with block heater

Flushed the cooling system & recovery tank
Installed Fleetguard from YT Tractor Supply

Replaced the glow plug controller & all the glow plugs
Installed Motorcraft glow plugs

Replaced the front brake flexible lines and bled the system

CDR valve is blown - going to run line down from valve to keep
oil out of the turbo air intake until I get a new CDR valve

Just need to check & set the static engine timing,
idi cold start advance & advance

That 1/2" line to the Rad is to warm up the trans fluid before the T'stat opens.

Just need to check & set the static engine timing,
idi cold start advance & advance

On the cold start, if the connector is not plugged in on the temp sensor, the one next to #1 cyl., the cold advance will not energize, it will de-energize when the head temp reaches 120*. In the pix, it's the one just below where the #1 GP is pointed to.
